It was an crazy day. We left Anguilla at about 10 a.m. (Lateef the roadie, Morley the Bassie and Tasha the drummer). We went by ferry to St. Maarten and then US Air to Charlotte then to La Guardia, then a car to Bridgeport, CT.
We made it to Ritchie’s at about 11:30.
Tasha got stuck in Charlotte and had to come on a later flight. He ended up staying at La Guardia until 1:15 am and then a 2 hour drive to the hotel.
We are happy to be here and to be done with that part.
We don’t have our usual bus this year from Maryland so it is going to be interesting.

We kicked off the 2009 tour last night at Ruby’s II in Bridge Port CT, My buddy Richie threw a Birthday Bash For his Mate BIG Mike, Not your average gig : Brazillian food, Exotic Waitresses/dancers….Great stuff for the heart and the soul ;D

After the show - Ruby's II

Corey???
Oh and Johnny Danger was there.
Olaide told us that the gig for today at Surf Lodge is pushed back a day because of the storm.
Katuba is picking us up and taking us to Montauk. For Tasha, Morley and Corey this is the second time using the ferry. It cut about 3 hours from our trip.
Tahirah got in tonight. Hampton Jitney from La Guardia.

The Surf Lodge gig was cool. A different kind of crowd. The Hamptons. It was “family style” accomodations – 6 people, two bedrooms, 1 sofa, 1 air mattress.

Our friend Dave is coming through with a bus. Needed that! Next stop North Carolina.
9/3/09
We made it to North Carolina. And it’s good. Lake Norman on Saturday and Sunday. Our cell phone service is spotty in this area, but if you would like to reach us the number is 203-540-0245. Lateef answers the phone usually, but you can just ask for me – Bankie.
